Biography
Eight years of research experience (including doctoral research) in the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for applications in plant science, energy, cancer treatment and imaging and sensor technology.
Research Interest
o Synthesis and functionalisation of nanomaterials o Study on effects of engineered nanomaterials on plant growth and development o Study on effects of engineered nanoparticles on various physiological and metabolic functions of plants o Nano drug development for cancer treatment o Nanoformulations for plant growth o Utilization of electron microscopic techniques for the characterization of nanomaterials and imaging of biological tissues o Use of fluorescent nanomaterials as bioimaging agents and imaging with confocal microscopy and fluorescent microscopes. o Maintain and update working knowledge of applicable state-of- the art laboratory instrumentation preferable electron microscopy and mass spectrometry. o Nano drug delivery systems o Utilization of nanoparticles for transformation technologies o Nano based control of plant pathogens o Biotechnological tools for crop improvement o Plant-Microbe interactions
